Chapter 26: Tally Ho, a Baptizing We Go!
First of all, how has it been 6 months already???! I absolutely am in love with South Carolina and being a missionary here. Definitely the best place in the world. Lowkey want to do this forever.
This week has been heka crazy!
We had a lesson with our friend Nicole everyday, including last pday, so that we could get her lessons done so she was ready for her baptism. There were so many miracles that fell into place so that we could do these lessons. And! We had a member in each one!
We also finished Chad's lessons this week, and got the both of them interviewed!
We had a lot of lessons this week. And they were all high quality lessons too!
We had a lesson with our friend Skip. He's super cool. He used to be a drag car racer. He showed us pictures of his car, it's pretty sweet. Couldn't tell ya what type of car it was, but it was pretty darn cool. And even better than that, is Skip has been reading the Book of Mormon and when people ask him why, he says because it's giving him more knowledge and he likes it a lot!!!
Last pday Sister Noel and I went by downtown Charleston to have lunch at a members work. It was awesome! The restaurant was called Saltwater Cowboys. Highly recommend. It was on the waters edge, and we sat outside on the pier. Lowkey felt like we were on a vacation haha. We're definitely spoiled here in SC. Not only was the food suuuuuper delicious, but I SAW A DOLPHIN! Two actually. A momma with her BABY!!! Highlight of the day for sure.
We went straight from the lunch to Nicole's because she asked if we could meet. We didn't have clothes to change into so we had a lesson in our jeans, which was soups weird.
Thursday we had Chad's final before baptism lesson. The Schmidts took us out to this phenomenal Italian restaurant in Summerville and we went over the Plan of Salvation afterwards.
Italian food. Soooo goooood
SUNDAY!!!! Sister Noel and I woke up, got ready and started to drive to church, only to find our tire was Completely flat.... not good. We didn't have time to change it right then, because we needed to be leaving for church. So we texted some members and they came and picked us up. Then during Sunday school our District Leader came and grabbed our keys so they could go change it for us. It was literally so kind of them!! We made them brownies. So now we have a donut on the car while we wait for the new tire. We should be getting that today or tomorrow.
Nicole and Chad also got baptized on Sunday! It was so amazing! They were both so happy and ready for this. And the ward literally is fabulous. Over 70 people came to support them! Chad had requested that I give one of the talks, so I happily gave another talk on the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

Sunday I couldn't stop smiling. There is just so much joy in helping bring people unto Christ. I am so grateful for this Gospel and for all that Jesus Christ has done for me. I pray that each of you will be able to feel Christs' Atoning power in your lives. His Atonement doesn't just cover sin, He has felt every single pain and heartache you have, are, and will go through. Turn to Him. Rely on Him. You will find the strength you need to endure with grace.
I love y'all so much. Than you to those who send me messages/pictures/emails. I'm sorry I don't respond all the time, just know that I love them and appreciate them.
Hope y'all have a beautiful week! Remember to pray!
With love always,
Sister Ray
